Phoenix Top Run Marathon

Thanks go to Graham for submitting this race result and report: "A run along the Thames at Walton on Thames, always a well organised event but hard going just doing laps...."

Graham Malt 3:18:17 (3rd overall, 1st in age cat)

Exeter Marathon (21st May)

Another marathon report by our marathon man Graham Malt! "A hot but windy day for this flat marathon starting at Exeter football club. After running through the town it was 3 laps of the river taking in the Quay en route. It was very well supported around the Quay area"

Graham Malt 3:21:40

Dorchester Marathon and Half Marathon (28th May)

Thanks again to Graham for submitting this report… "Great day at the inaugural Dorchester Marathon organised by White Star Running. A testing but scenic single lap race through the Dorset countryside on closed roads that also incorporated a half marathon. Fantastic organisation, great location, brilliant marshals & drink stations with lots of pockets of support throughout the course and not forgetting a great barn dance in the evening for those who camped the night."

Marathon:

Graham Malt:   3:17:22
Richard Hallett: 3:27:42 PB
Steve Amey:    4:01:16
Patrick Bailey:  4:17:43
Mike Collins:    4:27:54
Greg Hawkins: 4:50:13
Nick Marshall:  4:59:36

Half Marathon:

Darren Holmes: 1:39:03 PB
Guy Burdett      2:10:43

Liverpool Rock 'n' Roll Marathon (28th May)

Thanks to Mark Everett for submitting this race report - and well done guys, PBs all round! "Three Harrier Men made the trip up north to Liverpool to take part in the marathon and half. Both races took in similar routes starting at the Albert Docks, with the marathon heading up to the football stadiums and then back through town past the Cavern Club and then out to Sefton Park where you run on a stretch of Penny Lane (with the song playing as you run!) before heading down to the river with the final 4 miles along the Mersey and finishing back in the docks at the Echo Arena. A well organised event which was hillier than expected and with bands playing all along the way to keep you going!"

Marathon:

Mark Everett- 3:33:09 PB
Matt Holmes- 3:39:39 PB

Half Marathon:

John Cottrell- 1:57:32 PB

Upcoming races:

  • Poole 10k - 4th June
  • Puddletown Plod (CC & DRRL) - 11th June
  • Purbeck 10k (CC & DRRL) - 23rd June
  • Portland 10 (CC & DRRL) - 2nd July
  • New Forest 10 mile - 9th July
