HEARTBREAKER MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON - 28th Feb
Mainly off-road & car-free, just a bit of tarmac to start and finish with. These beautiful & winding courses are based from Sandy Balls Holiday Village, Godshill near Fordingbridge, (free parking and use of showers / toilets) choice of full Marathon or Half-marathon distances.
Run routes are predominantly on well-maintained forestry, gravel tracks, all clearly marked and marshalled on race day.
T-shaped course, marathon uses out-and-back loops so you can keep an eye on the opposition/give encouragement!  These 2 races are very popular and fill up fast with a long waiting list!!

NEW FOREST CHALLENGE - 28TH Feb
Caroline Horder and Naomi Bennett took part in this event which was hosted by the LDWA.  I understand that it was a beautiful route and well stocked with lots of tasty treats at the checkpoints and a meal at the end....all for a tenner!!  It took them roughly 6 hours to complete due to getting lost and adding a couple of extra miles and probably stopping at the checkpoints to refuel!!  Well done to you both and also to Greg Hawkins who navigated them round!

Well I hope you all use your extra day in February wisely but sorry to those on an annual salary that won't actually get paid if you are at work! Ooopps! The next DRRL and CC race is the Wimborne 20 on Sunday March 6th.  The website says entries close on the 21st Feb and no entries on the day so I hope to see many happy faces there! 2016 DRRL AND CC RACES CLICK HERE

Well done to everyone for a great February and see you all in March!
