Ladies December 2014 Race Report

Written by
A little late with this to avoid further delay I shall just launch into it!  Not a vast quantity of runs this month, but that doesn't undermine the vast quality of here we go....
This took place on 21st December so is a good time to run off the anticipated Christmas goodies before hand (if thats possible!).  This race is very popular and always gets full, so if you like the sound of this one, entries are already open for 2015 so strike while the iron is hot!
If you like to run something slightly different just before Christmas then this is for you. Full Marathon running from South Parade Pier to the end of the Hayling Billy Line and return. With some fantastic views across Langstone Harbour. All in aid of the RNLI. Don’t miss out.
373rd       Kathy Fooks                   3.53.42
429th       Joanna Tomsett              3.57.58
455th       Heather Khoshnevis       3.59.41
562nd      Julie White                       4.09.41
607th       Naomi Bennett                4.14.39
854th       Amanda Shepheard       4.37.40          (1254 finishers)
A perfect day to run off the cobwebs (and other naughties of Christmas day!)
Round and round the lake we go until we finish!!  3 times infact!   It honestly is fun!!
106th    Hannah Collier               43.27
145th    Heather Khoshnevis      46.25
157th    Kristina Byrnes              46.58
184th    Cara Roscoe                 48.52
293rd    Sarah Ngugi               1.00.35         (330 finishers)
THE BRUTAL RUN, Longmoor, Diss, Hampshire
''Race across the Army training camp, tear through the water hole and driver training area and into the wilds of no-man's-land... the perfect antidote to Christmas holiday indulgence!''
This is either an 8k or 16k challenge which is a series of runs in different locations throughout the year.  Each one very demanding!
Joanna Tomsett chose to do the 16k at Longmoor camp on the 27th December, and her words were ..."Very muddy and I felt numb at the end but I had so much fun!
54th    Joanna Tomsett     1hr.35    3rd Lady   Well done        (200 finishers)
Well that seems to be the races for December.  Well done to everyone above, and if any of you did any other races not mentioned, well done too, and if you do any races in the future that you want mentioned in the report, then please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. January has already started with some fine race performances for some of you so you can view this at the end of month.
The next DRRL and Club Championship race, which is also a County Champ race, is the Blackmore Vale Half Marathon on the 1st February, likewise, the Lychett 10mile race on the 15th February is also linked to all make sure you get your entries in for these as they will fill up and it would be amazing to see a massive Orange Glow  :-)
See the fixtures list for 2015 CC & DRRL Races Here and don't forget the CC Awards night/disco/buffet on Saturday 24 January at the LDC.
Thats all for now....Happy and Healthy New Year to you all and Happy Running too !
