Purbeck 10k entry information

Hi, The Purbeck 10k team are delighted that entry for the 2017 Purbeck 10k is open and selling fast. We have almost 100 entries in the first week!

As you will know the event is part of the Dorset Road Running League for 2017 and we very much recommend early entry as in previous years we have sold out a month before the event.

Your members can transfer their entries to a club mate, free and easy via their Full on Sport account, up to 5pm on the Tuesday before the event (i.e. Tuesday 20th June)

and we have a new facebook page for updates in 2017

Look forward to seeing you on the 23rd June

Best Wishes

Ross (on behalf of the Purbeck 10k team)

Social event - Coming soon - Wine tasting

'Educational' wine tasting presented by a 'Master of wine' Details to follow shorlty...

The club is organising a social event  - attendance a local race, here are the details:

Lacock half marathon and 10k - 18 June 2017 10am. The race starts and finishes in a beautiful National Trust village location 3 miles south of Chippenham, Wiltshire. See race website for full details -

Transport to event

The club will be hiring a 48-seater coach to take us all together to the event – obviously, you can make your own way there. The coach will be free to members who will be offered their seats first, on a first come basis once payment received, with spare seats being offered to non- members for £4.50. The coach will be leaving the LDC at 7am and will return late afternoon 4pm(ish), giving us plenty of time to have a picnic or similar after the event. Bear this in mind if you intend using the coach.

Entry details

Cost - Affiliated with group discount of 20% - Half £22.40 - 10k £14.40

If you want to run either the half or 10k you will need to give me or Greg (Chairman) a cheque or cash at club night or on a Sunday morning or make payment by bank transfer to the LDH account using these details. Email me for club bank details or see our Facebook page (members only) or see email sent to members. If you use bank transfer, please add your surname/event eg Tellinghalf or Telling10k and send me a confirmation email and state whether you want a seat on the coach. You can still enter independently via organisers website but may not get the 20% discount.

I will confirm all entries received by email or text.

I will be sending the group entry in to the organisers on Friday 24 February so I will need all entries in a few days before at the very latest. If I enter you with the main group numbers cannot be changed once allocated. We will pick up numbers on the morning from the group entry desk preventing any queuing.

Any questions catch me or Greg on a Tuesday or Thursday evening session or email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Thanks again for your support

2017 Club Championship CC and DRRL races

In brief....
The best 8 races to count and there's a trophy for doing all 15. A lot of the CC Races double up as Dorset Road races this year which hopefully will help our men's/ ladies teams remain in Division 1 and take the pressure off people trying to do both.

*All parkruns must be completed on or before 26th November 2017. Let me know if you ran a parkrun out of the immediate area. Races after this date can count for next year's CC.
*All marathons must be completed on or before 27th November 2017 to be included in this years CC. Let me know if you've completed a marathon with the location/date and time. Races after this date can count for next year's CC.
If you enter a race as a Harrier or are a member  of the club remember to wear your club vest

If you want to take part and need any help please email me and I will explain all. A big thank you to all who have supported the Club Championship over the last year.

2017 Club Championship

Remember, if you enter a race as a Littledown Harrier (usually obtaining affiliated discount) it is important that you wear your Littledown club vest - especially if running locally and/or any DRRL or CC races. If you don't wear a club vest you may not count for the team, may not be given your CC points and just as important are not promoting the club as you run. If you're proud to be a Harrier please wear your club vest when running (and your hoodie when shopping).

15 races now confirmed for the 2017 Club Championship.

Eight of the 15 have to be completed to qualify.

Any 2017 Bournemouth and Poole parkruns will count as one CC race.

Any Marathon can replace a CC race.

CC awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd M & F plus 1st and 2nd in all Age Cats.

Every 2017 Bournemouth or Poole parkrun (your best time will be used)
